Bradenton woman charged for having sex with and in front of teens

Posted: Updated:
SARASOTA COUNTY, FL (WFLA) -

A 42-year-old Bradenton woman was arrested for allegedly having sex in front of a group of teens.

But at this time she has not yet been charged for having sex with a minor.

Deputies say on March 11th, 42-year-old Jeanine Shimandle was house sitting at a home in Sarasota when she invited a group of teens to come over.

In the affidavit, witnesses said she had sex with a 13-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy.

As she slept with the boys, deputies says three other teens listened, recorded audio on their phones, and at one point, they were even able to watch as she had sex.

A spokeswoman for the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, Wendy Rose said, "On the way back to the house after picking up the teens, she stopped at a liquor store, bought two bottles of flavored vodka, which she provided to the teens."

The affidavit also states Shimandle smoked marijuana with some of the teens.

Some of the teens also told investigators that Shimandle is a gun owner and was even kicked out of another party the next night after waving a weapon.

The affidavit said that Shimandle threatened the teens if they shared what had happened.

Rose said, "At this point in the investigation we're putting the information out because we want anyone with other information, whether it's about this incident or whether it's about Shimandle to contact our detectives and provide whatever details they can."

Shimandle currently faces four felony charges of lewd and lascivious exhibition. That's for having sex in front of the other teens.

She also faces two felony charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor for allegedly serving alcohol to the minors.

Rose said the investigation is ongoing and there are likely more charges coming.

Rose said more work needs to be done before Shimandle can be charged with having sex with a minor.

Shimandle is currently being held at the Sarasota County jail on $100,500 bond.
