Polk Co. woman beats store clerk and steals cigarettes

LAKELAND, FL (WFLA) -

Polk County Sheriff's Office detectives are seeking the public's help in locating a robbery suspect.

Detectives say at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Saturday 28-year-old Shonta Denise Wynn went behind the counter of the Circle K convenience store located at 4950 Highway 92 East in Lakeland, removed pack of cigarettes and attempted to conseal them.  When told that she had to pay for the cigarettes, Wynn battered the store clerk and fled the scene.

Store video surveillance captured Wynn's image whose last known address is 2042 Alderman Road in Auburndale.  Wynn is descried as being approximately 5'7" tall and weighing approximately 270 pounds.  Authorities say she was last seen driving a green, four door 1994 Mercury with tinted windows, three after-market rims, one stock rim, with FL tag M615KX. 

Wynn has three active warrants in addition to the Robbery and Aggravated Battery charges in this investigation.
