TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

Monday morning, paramedics took a six-month-old girl to Tampa General Hospital with minor injuries after a single-car crash on State Road 60 and South Ware Boulevard in Tampa. Authorities say the girl's mother died at the scene of the accident. They found the girl's grandmother by Tuesday morning.

According to Florida Highway Patrol report, Olga Noemi Valentin, 27, of Mulberry, lost control of her Chevy Monte Carlo going east on State Road 60. She was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.

Valentin was ejected from the car when the two-door coupe flipped several times.  The car landed upright on the south shoulder of SR 60 on top of the woman.

Authorities said Valentin's baby daughter, Nevaeh Pierce, was in the back seat of the car strapped into a child safety seat. She sustained a few minor injuries.

According to the FHP report, Florida Department of Children and Families took the girl into custody while troopers were looking for Valentin's relatives.

Authorities had to extend the search throughout the area but they found Valentin's mother by Tuesday morning.
