PINELLAS COUNTY, FL -

Deputies arrested a man who they said, shot at his neighbor in Pinellas County Wednesday evening. Donald Hindes, Sr., 81, faces a charge of one count aggravated battery with a firearm.

According to Pinellas County Sheriff's Office report, Richard Wacker, 47, came to confront Hindes, Sr. at his house. The two lived at Kapok Grand Subdivision in unincorporated Seminole. They were having an ongoing neighbor battle. Hindes, Sr. didn't answer the door.

Investigators told us, Wacker left, but when Hindes, Sr. was driving through the subdivision gate a few minutes later, Wacker appeared in front of the car and started pounding on the window. That's when Hindes Sr. pulled his gun and shot at Wacker, deputies said.

Paramedics transported Wacker to Bayfront Medical Center. Doctors listed his wounds as not life-threatening.

Deputies took Hindes, Sr. to the Pinellas County Jail. Stay with wfla.com for more details of this investigation.
