Award winning nutrition expert, cookbook author, media spokesperson, registered dietitian and television personality, Tina Ruggiero is a respected figure in the world of health and nutrition.
Having two highly-acclaimed cookbooks to her credit, Tina has traveled the world to offer her services as a nutrition expert, recipe developer, writer, nutrition spokesperson and TV nutrition host. From CNN to the Chicago Tribune, she is frequently quoted in national media and regularly appears on television and radio programs sharing healthy recipes and discussing the latest news about diet, science and health.
Tina is the on-air nutrition personality for the national morning talk show Daytime on NBC, and she is a nutrition and health writer for the Tampa Tribune where she covers topics including healthy eating and living, food science, diet and cooking. Each month, she also contributes to the Tribune's special supplement, 4You Primetime, which is exclusively devoted to Baby Boomer health, diet and fitness.
Her first book, The Best Homemade Baby Food on the Planet, instantly became a best-seller, and it has been translated into six languages. Her highly-anticipated second book, The Truly Healthy Family Cookbook, was just released on August 6th. Tina received a B.S. with honors from N.Y.U. and her M.S. and R.D. from Case Western Reserve University. She earned a certificate in Mixology from The American Bartending School. Tina is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association) and the International Association of Culinary Professionals. To stay in shape, Tina rides her Cervélo road bike, and she completed her first century ride for charity last year. She is also a ballroom dance enthusiast, including the mambo and cha cha among her favorites.
