Rough Riders to host St Patrick's Day Parade in Ybor

The Rough Riders of Tampa will host the St Patrick's Day Parade at Ybor City Saturday.

Organizers expect 20 to 30 thousand people to show up for the festivities. This parade is one of the largest St Patrick's Day parades in the country.

Our own veteran reporter Jeff Peterson, president of the Rough Riders this year, says the green light is on for a full day of celebrations.

"That's all of Tampa's Krewes it's a very family friendly more be bead than any other parade," he said.

The Rough Riders parade kicks off at 8 p.m. Saturday on 7th Avenue in Ybor.

Mayor Buckhorn will help dye the Hillsborough River green during the St. Patrick's River O'green fest at 11 a.m. Saturday morning at the Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in Tampa. The fest is free.
