PASCO COUNTY, FL -
Florida Highway Patrol troopers investigate a fatal hit and run accident that left Rosa Marie Porter, 54 of Spring Hill dead.
Troopers told us that Porter was walking in the southbound lane on Shady Hills Road south of Gifford Lane in Spring Hill around 11 p.m. Tuesday.
Unknown car traveling southbound hit her and threw her onto the west shoulder of Shady Hills Road. Troopers said she died at the scene from injuries, the driver fled.
FHP troopers have not identified the car or driver involved. They told us they found small black plastic pieces, possibly from the trim or the mirror of an unknown type vehicle.
