NFL investigating phone prank involving TB Bucs' Mark Dominik

Posted: Updated:

The NFL is investigating the hacking of a phone conversation between general managers Buddy Nix of the Buffalo Bills and Mark Dominik of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The call was taped by the hackers, then posted on Deadspin.com.

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy says Tuesday the league's security and legal teams are looking into Deadspin's report. The Bills say they have contacted the league and are also reviewing it with their legal counsel.

Deadspin reports the phone call occurred Friday and was taped by two 20-year-olds whose names were not revealed. The website said the two initially attempted to reach Nix at Bills headquarters by identifying themselves as Dominik.

After Nix made numerous attempts to phone the number, the two were able to connect one of the calls with Dominik, the website reported.
