Hernando County Sheriff deputies arrested a 15-year-old girl on charges of marijuana possession on school property.
Fox Chapel Middle School Principal Ray Pinder acted on an anonymous tip when he called deputies saying that one of his students might have marijuana.
Deputies picked up the student while she was in physical education class. She admitted having candy that had the drug in it. She said her friend, another Fox Chapel Middle School student, gave the candy to her. Deputies interviewed both teenagers with their parents present.
The teenagers were arrested for possession of marijuana over 30 grams. They were transported to the Hernando County jail.
