An alligator in Arizona, Mr. Stubbs, tried out his new tail Sunday in Scottsdale.
The alligator was tail-less when he came to the Phoenix Herpetological Society. He was confiscated because it is illegal to own alligators as pets in Arizona.
Scientists built him a prosthetic tail from scratch. They say it will take about six months for him to adjust to swim with it.
