Pasco substitute teacher arrested for DUI with children in car

Posted: Updated:
PASCO COUNTY, FL -

Pasco deputies say a substitute teacher pulled over for drunk driving had two young children in the car with her.

Deputies say it happened last night around 11 o'clock in Lutz, when a law enforcement officer spotted Leah Ann Deyoung driving without her headlights on.  When deputies pulled her over, they noticed her eyes were bloodshot and glassy, and she smelled like alcohol.

Deyoung denied drinking, but failed field sobriety tests.  She refused to take a breath test at the scene, and refused again when she was booked into the Pasco County jail.

Deyoung had two young children in the car with her.  They were picked up by a family member.
