A Polk County deputy arrested for DUI last night resigned today.
Someone called 911 last night, and said they saw Robin Mills' Ford F-350 truck crashing into a parked car at Fuzzy's Bar in Lake Wales. Mills failed sobriety tests, and deputies arrested her.
She was not on duty at the time.
Mills is charged with one count of DUI with property damage. She bonded out of jail this morning, and submitted her resignation letter to the Sheriff's Office.
Mills started working for the Sheriff's Office in March 1995 as a telecommunicator. She was most recently assigned to Southeast District patrol.
