NEW PORT RICHEY, FL (WFLA) -

Richard Parkin thought it would never happen to him. The 90 year old World War Two veteran was robbed in his garage last month.

"I reached in like this and that's when he came from here and whacked me and thirty seconds later he's gone."

But not before ripping off Parkin's gold bracelet and gold necklace. A video of the robbery was captured by a neighbor's home security system. The Pasco County Sheriff's Office have arrested brothers Jacob and Justin Herc for the crime.

Parkin says he knows karate and that twenty years ago, he could have fought back.

"The way I feel violated worst is at 90 I can't do anything about it."

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says Parkin wasn't the only victim of the two brothers. Another elderly man was robbed outside of a Walmart in New Port Richey. The sheriff's office says they believe the brothers would look for victims with jewelry and then follow them and rob them.

"I have to blame myself not as much as them but I have to blame myself not for being cautious."

Parkin has now changed the way he lives his life. He had a security system installed in his home. When he comes home from shopping, he pulls his car in and closes the garage door before getting out. And when he gets his mail he takes his time and looks around for suspicious people.

Parkin says he has a message for the brothers that robbed him.

"Get a life..get a job..learn something except what you already know."

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says there may be more victims out there and want to hear from them. You can contact the tip line at 1-800-706-2488.
