Small sinkhole discovered in Hillsborough County

Posted: Updated:
TAMPA, FL -

A small sinkhole was discovered Tuesday in Tampa, at 7203 Trinity Place, not far from the Hard Rock Hotel.

Hillsborough County Code Enforcement was expected out at the residential home later today to monitor the scene.

While the latest sinkhole is small, measuring only about a foot wide by five feet deep, it is the third time in less than a week that one has been discovered in the area.

Last week a sinkhole opened under a house in Seffner, killing a man. Days later, a second sinkhole opened in the backyard of a home less than two miles away. No one was injured.
