The wiring in the base of the lamp is exposed and can overheat. This poses an electrical shock hazard, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Consumers should stop using this product by Tween Brand, according to the CPSC website. The lamps can be returned for a full refund. They are sold exclusively at Justice stores, the CPSC site states.
