Two men wage marble mayhem in Clearwater

CLEARWATER, FL -

Two individuals took a game of marbles to the next level and got busted.  Dominick V. Zambrano and Seth Cazalas of Alabama were charged with:  Shooting Deadly Missile at Occupied Vehicle & Criminal Mischief after they decided to go on a marble shooting spree Saturday and Sunday in Clearwater.

The Clearwater Police Department said they received several calls of damages to businesses and moving cars. Officers said that they received witness descriptions of a white sports car at the scene of the crimes.  During a city-wide search, patrol officers located a car matching the description at about 10:00 p.m. Sunday night. Officers say that the suspects' car was parked on Cleveland Street near Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue about the same time another report was called in of a car with a window shot out in that area.

When officers eventually pulled the car over, they found evidence linking the two men with the crimes. Authorities say sling shots and marbles matching those recovered at various crime scenes throughout the city were found in the car.

Authorities said that Zambrano and Cazalas admitted to the crimes. They were both were arrested and charged with Shooting a Deadly Missile at an Occupied Vehicle and Criminal Mischief. There were a total of 28 cases reported- 21 businesses and 7 vehicles. Detectives are working to determine the number of charges for each suspect.
