Jury selection for a murder trial of Brittany Miles started Monday in Hernando County. Brittany Miles, a former exotic dancer, is accused of killing Henry McCain, 67, a funeral home director, in 2011.
Miles ran through the red light and drove into McCain's motorcycle after a high-speed chase that left a Pasco County Sheriff deputy injured.
Miles was sentenced to 15 years for injuring a law enforcement officer in Pasco County. That trial took place in May 2011.
Brittany Miles shared her experiences through a video message with a class roomful of students in Zephyrhills InJanuary as a part of the Juvenile Choice Program created by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. The program showed the reality of making bad choices.
The murder trial is set to begin Tuesday in Hernando County.
