Florida Task Force arrest Tampa man for Cyber Solicitation

Posted: Updated:

Authorities report that agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's Tampa Bay Cyber Crimes Task Force arrested Brian Ireland of Tampa on two counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition of a minor over the Internet and one count of online solicitation of a child for sex.

Agents say the investigation began in October of 2012 when Ireland allegedly exposed himself online to an undercover agent posing as a 14 year old female, and then solicited the agent for sex.

FDLE agents, with assistance of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, served a search warrant at Ireland's Tampa home at 12028 Tuscany Bay Drive, Apt. 101. Agents and deputies seized three computers and other digital media which, they say, will undergo forensic evaluation.

Deputies say Ireland was arrested without incident and was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail. The case will be prosecuted by the State Attorney's Office, Thirteenth Judicial Circuit.
