An outdoor lovers paradise with more than 140 thousand square feet will open Friday afternoon at the News Channel 8 Outdoors Expo and Boat Show.

Boats of every shape and size are on display.  For those who enjoy fishing, several vendors carry items that can turn that day out on the water into a productive one.  Gene Holloway with Feeding Frenzy Sports carries a chum tub for different types of fishing.  Holloway says, "It's designed to actually bring the fish in to where the chum is and where you are fishing at."

If you enjoy hunting, there are vendors that carry a variety of clothing and gear.  The Archery Shop located in Tampa is at the Expo.  They carry several brands of bows and crossbows for those interested in taking up the sport.

Anthony Davis is with the Archery Shop.  He says, "bring your children in we get them on the basics it's pretty cool to see another generation coming in to it."

Tom Krause is an artist from Venice, Florida. He paints realistic scenes of fish in their habitat that even the non fisher might find pleasing to the eye.   Krause says,  "A nice piece of art can really enhance your house or your area you want to put it in.  Hopefully I have something for the husband and the wife."

The expo starts Friday, March 1st from 1pm to 8pm and admission is free.

On Saturday the expo is from 10am to 7pm. Sunday's hours are from 10am to 5pm. Admission on Saturday and Sunday is $8 ages 13 and up. Kids 12 and under are free.
