Ray Lewis to be honored as Lakeland's hometown hero

POLK COUNTY, FL -

The City of Lakeland and Polk County officials and community members will gather at Lake Mirror Saturday, March 2, to recognize the Super Bowl XLVII champions Ray Lewis, Albert McClellan and Jah Reid as hometown heroes.

The athletes will be honored for their contributions to the city and their commitment to excellence by Mayor Gow Fields, elected officials and coaches.

Ray Lewis and Albert McClellan went to Kathleen High School in Lakeland. McClellan was born in the city. Jah Reid studied at Haines City High School.

The event is free to attend. It will start at 10 am.
