New license plate to honor fallen officers

Posted: Updated:
PINELLAS COUNTY, FL -

A new Florida bill suggests a license plate design that would honor officers killed in the line of duty.

The plate would have a rose, a badge and two blue and black stripes on it. It would say "A Man Remembered Never Dies."

The annual use fee would be $25 for the new plate. Money from the sales would go toward police safety training and education programs for young people.

Students at the Pinellas Park High School "Criminal Justice Academy" came up with the idea.
