Tampa service dog with special needs gets a "Forever Home"

TAMPA, FL -

Hearing impaired students at Ben Hill Middle School in Tampa, were able to give a special dog a "forever home" Wednesday morning.  In a special ceremony in front of the school, they adopted a 12-year old Miniature Pinscher named Parris, who is a trained service dog for those who are hearing impaired.

Parris's family was unable to keep her due to a hardship. She was also suffering from heart worms.  The school and Hillsborough County School District officials will partner with the County's Animal Services to treat Parris.

Hillsborough County Commission Chairman Ken Hagan, and Animal Services Director Ian Hallett both assisted with this "match made in heaven.
