Manatee County Sheriff's Office deputies said a house in Bradenton was broken into Tuesday. One of the items reported stolen was an 18-karat solid gold designer watch.
According to deputies' report, the rear sliding glass door was smashed without setting off an alarm to get into the house of Leonard Kesten, 79, of Bradenton.
Only a few dresser drawers were open and over $39,000 worth of jewelry was missing including the watch.
Detectives said they searched the area but didn't find anything case-related. The investigation is under way.
