A new Wawa opens in New Port Richey Wednesday. This is the fourth store to open in Tampa Bay area in five weeks, but the first one for New Port Richey.
The grand opening ceremony is set to begin at 10 a.m. The J.W. Mitchell High School Jazz Band will perform at the opening. State Representative Mike Fasano will join the Wawa team for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
A parade of Wawa's history and values and sampling of Wawa products are planned.
The Pasco County Fire and Rescue will compete with Pasco County MedFleet in the Hoagies for Heroes competition. This is a hoagie building competition benefiting the local charities.
When Wawa opened a new store near USF campus in Tampa, Tampa Police Department officers won over Tampa firefighters building a hoagie.
The store is located at 8330 Ridge Road in New Port Richey.
