Dynacraft is recalling more than 10,000 of Monster High city motor scooters and Hello Kitty city motor scooters.  

According to NBC's report the scooters can suddenly accelerate while they're in use, causing the rider to lose control and fall.

There has been nine reports of malfunctioning, three with injuries, NBC reports.

The toys can be returned to stores for a full refund. Walmart sold the Monster High Scooters, while the Hello Kitty scooters were sold exclusively at Toys R Us.
