Severe weather forces Pasco schools to postpone FCAT writing exam

LAND O' LAKES, FL (WFLA) -

As severe weather moves into the area, the District School Board of PascoCounty received permission from the Florida Department ofEducation to delay FCAT writing exams, scheduled statewide for today.

The district's Office for Accountability, Research and Measurement notifiedschools this morning that they could choose to test students tomorrow if theyhad not already started testing.

At this point, only six elementary schools have chosen to wait until tomorrowto administer the exam.  The schools are:

  • Chasco Elementary
  • Gulf Highlands Elementary
  • Moon Lake Elementary
  • Pine View Elementary
  • Richey Elementary
  • Woodland Elementary
