Lakeland Police say a black and silver SUV fled the scene after multiple shots were fired from the car at a home in Lakeland injuring a 12-year-old boy.
His aunt took the boy to Lakeland Regional Medical Center, police said. His condition is stable.
Officers responded to the shooting on W 3rd Street around 9 p.m. Monday, according to the police report. The boy was on the porch with his cousin, officers said.
The investigation is ongoing. The police are asking anybody with the information about this shooting to call the Lakeland Police Department at 863-834-6900.
