St. Pete police search for Suntrust Bank robber

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -

St. Petersburg police are investigating a robbery at the SunTrust bank in the 3600 block of 34th Street North. Officials say the call came in at 1:15 p.m. Monday.  According to witnesses a man entered the bank and presented a note to the teller demanding cash. No weapon was seen.

Police described him as about 30 years of age, 5'6" tall with slender build. He was last seen wearing a NY Yankees blue ball cap, had on a black shirt and was carrying a blue and white back pack. 

After exiting the bank, the man may have been picked up by a vehicle not far from the bank. Authorities are working to get a description of the vehicle.

Police released the photos of the man. They are asking anybody with information about this case to call St. Petersburg Police Department at 727-893-7780.
