The Norwegian Dawn's arrival into the Tampa today was delayed because of heavy fog outside the Port of Tampa.  At noon today, the Coast Guard reopened the port and the the Dawn was given clearance to proceed to the terminal.

Based on this information, Norwegian officials expect embarkation for today's cruise to begin at 7 p.m. . Officials are still asking all embarking guests to please not arrive at the terminal before this time because it has limited facilities.

Another cruise ship has also been delayed entry into the Port of Tampa because of fog from earlier today.  The Carnival Legend is expected to be alongside the Port of Tampa at approximately 4 p.m. eastern time today, several hours behind schedule.  Carnival officials say embarkation for the next cruise, a seven-day Caribbean cruise, is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. with departure at approximately at 11 p.m..

The Operations at Port of Tampa also says the Royal Caribbean Jewel of Seas ship is a few hours delayed. The ship tried to get in early to avoid the fog but that didn't work. The cruise ship should start coming in around 8 a.m.  this morning, which is an hour delay.  It usually gets in at 7a.m.   The Jewel of the Seas is headed out of Tampa again at 4:30 this afternoon.

For more information about Norwegian's cruise status, you can visit their Website at www.ncl.com,   or its Facebook and Twitter pages.

Carnival passengers can sign up for automatic texts by texting CCL1 to CRUISE (278473).
