Water quality testing begins in Tampa

Posted: Updated:

Water quality staff began testing 25 water samples taken from different points in the city Saturday, Tampa Water Department officials told us.

The testing began at 1:30 in the morning and usually takes 24 hours, according to the water department report.

Officials say the boil-water advisory will not be lifted until at least Sunday morning.

Depending to the test results, the water department will send an update who can stop boiling water.
