Pro tennis player arrested for using computer to seduce a child

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (WFLA) -

A professional tennis player is in Manatee County jail on charges of using computer service to seduce or solicit a minor.

Piere-Ludovic Duclos-Lanier, 27, met his victim, a 13 year old girl, at a community tennis court. He offered to coach her, but sexually charged text messages were soon to follow, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office report.

An MCSO deputy took over the girl's phone and set up a meeting with Duclos-Lanier at a Starbucks.

Deputies arrested Lanier at the cafe and he confessed to all of the charged offenses post Miranda, according to the report.

Piere-Ludovic Duclos-Lanier is a Canadian-born professional tennis player who lives in Tampa Bay area, according to the ATP World Tour website.
