Firefighters with Tampa Fire Rescue knocked down a blaze at an apartment complex Monday morning.
They received the call at 7:02 a.m., of a structure fire at 5626 Louis XIV Court. Upon arrival, they found light smoke coming from the ground floor of the two-story structure.
Firefighters were able to keep the flames within the first-floor apartment. Three neighboring apartments were filled with smoke. Firefighters have ventilated those apartments to remove the smoke.
There are no injuries. The American Red Cross will assist one family.
Investigators believe an electrical malfunction in a heater caused the fire.
