HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL -

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office cattle dog escaped from his special trailer on Saturday around 11:30 a.m.  Deputies say the trailer was north bound on Interstate 75 near the Fruitville exit in Sarasota County.

According to Authorities, the dog was personally paid for by Agriculture Detective Lowell Cain who often uses him while working to help heard cows off the roadways and other places as needed.

Cain says the dog is a mixed breed cattle dog that answers to "Doc."  Doc is Cain's personal dog but is also a mascot of the HCSO Agriculture Unit.  Doc is very friendly and weighs about 60 pounds.

A $500 reward is being offered.

Anyone who may have seen or has any information on the whereabouts of Doc is asked to call Sgt. Ron Cain at 813-426-7112.
