TAMPA, FL -
A woman hit by a train died on the railroad tracks in Tampa Friday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputies said.
Deputies said the woman and her boyfriend tried to cross the tracks near 112th Avenue and 11th Street in North Tampa crawling under the stopped train.
The man had made it to the other side, when the train started moving. The woman was hit by a wheel and died on scene, according to the deputies' report.
Deputies said both were homeless, the names were not revealed. An investigation continues.
