Francesca and Franco have been married for 17 years.
After seventeen years of marriage they still don't agree on exactly what happened on their first date.
"We had our first date at the Don Cesar," Francesa Caramello said. "I thought there would be other people there but he was the only one. We talked and got to know each other and he kissed me. He says I kissed him. I guess we kissed each other."
Francesca Caramello and Franco Barlettai met when she walked into his Tampa restaurant. She immediately noticed he spoke Italian as well. But the similarities didn't end there. This wasn't the first time Franco laid eyes on the former model.
"After we met I told him about this job I had in Japan," Francesca said. "I had dressed as a Japanese bride and Franco said 'I remember seeing a poster like that.' I thought it was impossible because it was so long ago but we lived in Japan at the same time."
Two Italians, both formerly married, both previously lived in Japan, both moved to Tampa, and worked side by side at Delizie Bakery for 15 years. Both are now sharing their marriage advice.
"She always wants to be right whatever I say she's right and I give up," Franco said.
Francesca's advice is a little different.
"You must be lifelong friends and from that the rest can follow."
