More victims come forward in the Auburndale driveway paving scam

POLK COUNTY, FL -

Pasco County Sheriff's Office detectives say that more victims of the scam artist gang working the Auburndale area have come forward. Police are crediting media coverage and Facebook posts for assisting with their efforts in spreading the word about this case.

Tuesday, PCSO detectives met with ten additional victims and took their sworn statements that positively identified the suspects and provided evidence of the rock and dirt mixture that was used in the paving of their driveways.

Police say that all four suspects are still in the Polk County Jail.  All suspects have received additional charges and are not eligible for bond until their first court appearance Tuesday. Authorities say each suspect now has approximately 70 total charges respectively.

Sheriff Grady Judd said, "I want to thank these latest victims for coming forward to help us continue our investigation into these scam artists' activities. If you have seen these men in your neighborhood, or if you have paid these men to pave your driveway or do any other type of home improvement work, please call us. We want to ensure they are charged accordingly for victimizing our citizens."
