When the owner of Precision Fabrication in Nokomis fired a woman for requesting extra time off in December, it turned out, she had taken cash instead, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office report.
Deputies say their investigation revealed Diana Urban, 43, cashed 119 checks for over $200,000 total between November 2011 and last December.
Investigators say Urban had written those checks to herself and forged the company's books to show the checks had been written to vendors.
Deputies arrested Urban Tuesday morning on the charge of first degree felony, scheme to defraud.
