Trevor Dooley makes bond, leaves jail while awaiting appeal

TAMPA, FL -

Trevor Dooley has left the Orient Road Jail.

A judge granted bond for Dooley last week, while he appeals his conviction for Manslaughter. Dooley was convicted of shooting and killing a neighbor, David James, during a fight over a skateboarder. A judge sentenced him to eight years in prison.

"Please don't talk to me," said Dooley as he was led out of the Orient Road Jail by Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies. Dooley did not answer any questions about his release as he walked by members of the media.

Dooley needed to make his $100,000 bond, and get fitted for a GPS tracking device, before he would be released from custody. He finished that process late Monday afternoon. Dooley was also required to surrender his passport, and is required to stay inside Hernando County, where he now lives, except during court appearances and meetings with his attorneys.
