TAMPA, FL -

Nasty winter weather in the Northeast is causing dozens of delays at Tampa International Airport. For the most part, morning flights got out okay, but most late flights are already canceled.

Most late morning, afternoon, and evening flights to New York, Boston, and Detroit won't be taking off.

Debbie Dunn was one of the lucky ones with a 6 AM flight to New York.

"I'm visiting my family for the weekend," Dunn said. "I hope everything is cleared up by Monday when I come back. I don't have any winter clothing so my family is going to give me some."

Before heading to the airport you can check your flight status with your airline or the TIA website.
