New Port Richey Police arrested a boy who they think intentionally set 11 fires in the area.
The detectives say the intensity of the fires increased in the last few weeks. They initiated a surveillance detail on Wednesday and, while they were setting up, a fire started. Investigators say they were able to quickly capture the boy.
Police say the boy admitted to six out of 11 fires and was transported to the Pasco County Juvenile Assessment Center, the detectives said.
No one was injured, but one house was damaged, according to the report.
