TAMPA, FL -

When 6-year-old Emily Wallace leaves for the hospital she always bring her tutus. Her mom, Melissa, says making her daughter feel "normal" is her goal.

"Emily has an array of medical issues ranging from feeding issues to nuero issues," Melissa said. "She's been through a lot she's had brain surgery and spine surgery and feeding tube surgery but she smiles the whole time goal."

Like every little girl, Emily loves stuffed animals. Her hospital bed is full of them. A teddy bear, named Iggy, has an IV just like the 6-year-old.

"We just want her to feel like a normal little girl. We don't want this to define her," Melissa said. "We let her pack for the hospital and she always brings tutus."

Emily is anything but normal, and not because she's sick, but because of her unbreakable spirit. She's just one of the many kids seeking care at All Children's.

You can help kids like Emily by picking up a free short stack of pancakes at IHOP and making a donation to Children's Miracle Network Programs. The event is happening around the country until 10p.m., Tuesday night.
