Howard Frankland Bridge back open

Posted: Updated:

The Howard Frankland Bridge and I-275 southbound are open for traffic after a crash involving a gravel truck.

The dump truck transporting gravel blew a tire. The driver lost control of the vehicle and it flipped on its side and spilled the gravel on the road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol report.

All the southbound lanes were closed due to the road debris, as well as two northbound lanes.

FHP officials said, only one vehicle was involved in the crash and nobody was injured.
