Hillsborough Avenue has re-opened to traffic. Earlier today, it was closed between Sussex Drive and the Memorial Highway intersection in Town 'N Country. The man involved in the situation has been Baker-acted.
Hillsborough deputies say they were serving an eviction notice this morning at a condo complex to William Elliott, 60, when he refused to cooperate and barricaded himself in a condo. He was armed, deputies said.
Deputies eventually entered the condo and disarmed Elliott. The deputy who was serving the notice is unharmed, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Elliott has three arrest records and was Baker-acted previously, in November 2012.
