Questions on a work sheet at a Pasco County High School have raised concerns for parents, the school principal and school district administrators.
The questions were given out by ninth grade physical science teacher Dean Liptak at Fivay High School.
One question on the work sheet asks: A northbound car with a velocity of 100 m/s ran over a baby with a momentum of kg m/s, what is the mass of the car?
Another question asks: What is the momentum of a 2kg baby with a velocity of 200 m/s that fell out of a window of a 100 story building?
Fivay's principal, Angie Stone says, "A parent brought that into the office Friday morning and left it with a note for me to take a look at."
When Stone saw the worksheet for herself, she called the teacher in to speak with him about it. Stone says, "There is an invisible line and you can't step over that line and this unfortunately steps over that line."
Stone says she has advised the teacher that the content of the work sheet is inappropriate and does not expect that he will do anything like this again.
