Jewelry store snatcher sought by Lakeland Police

LAKELAND, FL (WFLA) -

Lakeland Police are searching for a man who robbed a jewelry store.

Officials are searching for a man who robbed a Lakeland Square Mall jewelry store of more than $15,000 in items last week.

Last Tuesday, the unknown suspect entered the Kay's Jewelry store. According to authorities, he snatched up several pieces of jewelry before fleeing the area.

The suspect is described as a light skinned black male, 32-35 years old, approximately 6'2", 220 lbs, with his hair (greased) pulled back or braided in a small pony tail.

He was wearing a light green polo shirt and khaki pants. The suspect fled, as a passenger, in 4 door beige Nissan Maxima with tinted driver and passenger side windows. The rear window (back of car) was not tinted.
