An early morning high speed pursuit snaked its way through the streets of Tampa, onto Interstate 275, over the Howard Frankland Bridge and into St. Petersburg.
It all started at a Shell Gas Station near the intersection of 15th Street and Fowler Avenue.
Tampa Police Officer G. Bricha saw a red Ford F150 pickup truck with a Mississippi tag. The officer ran the tag and discovered it was stolen. The officer stopped the pickup and two passengers, Lebaron Woods, 21 and Landrick Edwards, 23, fled on foot.
Officers were able to catch them and take them into custody. Both face trespassing charges.
Police say Brinson drove off and Officer Bricha initiated a pursuit. Brinson drove south on I-275 at speeds reaching 100 miles an hour. He eventually exited the interstate at 15th Avenue South in St. Petersburg.
Police say he ditched the Pickup and hid in a home at 1227 Fargo Street South in St. Pete. That's where officers caught him and took him into custody.
Brinson now faces charges of grand theft auto, aggravated fleeing to elude and resisting arrest without violence.
St. Petersburg Police and the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office aided in the pursuit and capture. There were no injuries.
