Gasparilla 2013: Event Schedule

11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Invasion

The Jose Gasparilla appears at the south end of Hillsborough Bay, leading a flotilla of boats into the City of Tampa. The pirates land at the Tampa Convention Center, and force the mayor to hand over the keys to the city.

10 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Brunch

Once the pirates have arrived at the Convention Center, they'll be hungry. Join them for an appropriate feast.

2 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. - Parade of the Pirates

The pirates hold this parade to celebrate their conquest of the city. The parade runs north along Bayshore Boulevard, then into downtown Tampa. Check out the parade route map for more details on seating and parade viewing.

2:30 - 4:30 - WFLA News Channel 8's Live Coverage

Channel 8 continues its tradition of broadcasting the parade live. Watch it on TV or streaming here on WFLA.com.  You can also listen to the parade on our partner radio stations, 970 WFLA and 93.3 FLZ.

10 a.m. - 10 p.m. - Pirate Fest Street Festival

The Street Festival runs all day, but kicks into full gear after the parade has reached downtown. You'll find food, music, and plenty of fun along Ashley Drive, from Kennedy Boulevard to Cass Street.
