Jenny CaballeroHillsborough school board members have voted on punishments for staff at Rodgers Middle School, following the death of 11-year-old Jenny Caballero.
The board demoted Principal Sharon Tumicki, and Assistant Principal Shawn Livingston.
It also fired two aides who worked at the school. Two other aides are no longer at the school -- one retired, the other resigned.
Caballero sneaked out of the school gym October 22nd and drowned in a nearby retention pond. A Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office investigation had previously found the aides did nothing criminally wrong.
Livingston has said that he plans to appeal the decision. It's unclear if the others will do the same.
