TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

Jane Seymour, the actress best known for her days as a Bond girl and Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, is in the Bay Area this weekend promoting her abilities as a painter.

Turns out, the 61-year-old has been putting brush to canvas for more than 20 years.

"This is what I do for me, so if you ask me what do you do when you have time off. Well, I'm painting," she said.

Seymour will be displaying and selling about 80 of her original paintings at an exhibition at the Syd Entel Galleries at 247 Main Street Safety Harbor Saturday and Sunday.

"When people acquire the art I'm able to really talk to them about what it is that they've found and when I painted it, why I painted it, what it meant to me," Seymour said.

Seymour works with all types of materials and paints all kinds of subject matter, and while she loves painting she's not ready to give up her acting gigs just yet.

"I love acting. I still have a thriving acting career thank goodness which is wonderful," she said.

For more information about Seymour's Safety Harbor art exhibit you can go to www.sydentelgalleries.com. The weekend event is open to potential buyers. The public can RSVP by telephone at 727-725-1808 and online at linda@syentelgalleries.com.
