Less humid air arrives to Tampa Bay

Updated:

A front is pushing south through the Tampa Bay area this morning. "While this front will not bring us any cooler air, it will allow for some less humid air to arrives," said Storm Team 8 Meteorologist Leigh Spann. The rain chance today is just 10%, and most of the rain will be south of Tampa Bay.  "With the drier air in place, we will see a lot of sunshine and that will help temperatures climb into the low to mid 90s this afternoon," said Spann.

"You'll really notice the lower humidity this evening as temperatures fall through the 80s after sunset," said Spann. Lows tonight should be in the low to mid 70s, which is a few degrees below average.

The dry and hot air remains in the forecast tomorrow. Highs will be back in the low to mid 90s. The humidity starts to creep back in by Friday.
